INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Dialogue Knowledge Hub (DKH), Global Practices Hub

KAICIID is offering an opportunity for one intern, to work in the Programme Department.  Under the supervision of the Senior Programme Manager, Dialogue Knowledge Hub the selected intern is expected to:

  • Streamline the flow of information and prepare information for action, in a timely and constructive manner;
  • Schedule team meetings, prepare necessary background documents and briefs, attend meetings and take minutes;
  • Maintain an overview of the deadlines, follow up on action items, as well as provide updates on status of delivery and pending tasks;
  • Support the team with various DKH online resources: review and uploading processed and approved data;
  • Proofread and edit internal documents;
  • Proofread documents in English or other major languages, preferably Arabic;
  • Assist in the research and processing of data in English, or in other major languages, preferably Arabic for different DKH projects (e.g. databases, webinars, etc.)
  • Undertake any other assignments as may be required.

In order to be considered, the candidate must:

  • Be a student in the final year of higher education (university or other accredited institutions) at graduate or postgraduate level; or recent graduate or postgraduate, i.e. within one year of graduation;
  • Be between 21 and 30 years of age;
  • English proficiency (spoken and written) is required, knowledge of any other major languages, preferably Arabic, desirable;
  • Be able to adapt to an international, multicultural and multireligious working environment.

PERIOD OF INTERSNHIP

The internship period is for a minimum duration of three months with a possibility for an extension up to a maximum of 9 months with a starting date by 1 March 2020.
