Its mandate is to secure the cooperation of governments and others in locating missing persons from armed conflicts, human rights abuses, natural and man-made disasters. Position Background

ICMP provides sub-grants in the form of money and/or in-kind support to civil society organizations (CSOs) and individuals to implement activities that promote public engagement and data collection on the issue of missing persons. The main goal of the proposed assignment is to draft policies and materials that will ensure effective oversight of ICMP’s sub-granting process. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) for two months, starting in February 2020.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft guidelines for the ICMP Headquarters to oversee missing persons sub-grants and ensure compliance with donor requirements
• Create tools, including common performance indicators, to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of sub-grants
• Draft a concept note and proposal templates to solicit additional resources for ICMP’s sub-grants
• Prepare lessons learned report on the implementation of ICMP’s sub-grant mechanisms
