ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

Assisting 91.4 million people in around 83 countries each year, the World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization saving Lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.

In 2019, WFP is scaling up its Yemen operations aiming to provide 12 million people with monthly food assistance through direct food distributions, vouchers or cash and nutritional support to nearly 3 million pregnant and nursing women and children under 5.

JOB PURPOSE

To perform specialized and/or standardized policy and nutrition-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of food assistance.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of secondary school education;
  • Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in Arabic and English.
  • Either a Yemeni citizen or a foreign citizen with permanent Yemeni work permit.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive)

Information Management under the overall supervision of the Nutrition Officer and the direct supervision of the Nutrition Associate will do the following task:

  1. Collect monthly reports from all partners using Nutrition tools for below.
    • CMAM Monthly reports
    • CPDR Monthly reports
    • Any other tool will be added
  2. Verified, validate and clean the data and ensure data is match in both CMAM and CPDR.
  3. Regularly update and maintain HFs tracking tools and update the TSFPs status (Ongoing Temporary close).
  4. Regularly update and collect data for all training on CMAM, IYCF and CHVs conducted at sub-national from all partners using nutrition tools.
  5. Provide training and support to all partners at sub-national level on how to use nutrition reporting tool.
  6. Facilitate information flow between the sub-national and national level.
  7. Collect all FRNs from partners and share with country office focal person.
  8. Ensure that FRNs submitted by GHO don't include HFs supported by NGOs to avoid any overlapping.
  9. Follow up with all partners to submit all missing report including (FRN, CMAM, CPDR and Training.
  10. Provide effective and timely technical support to GHO Specifically on CPDR.
  11. Others as required.

  • Has at least one (1) year of relevant experience in information technology and management with a focus on health and nutrition programmes
  • Has contributed to implementation of programmes.
  • Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
