Job Description

This Associate must specialize in areas such as IT security, forensics, vulnerability management, project management, awareness, advisory, analytics, cloud security, risk assessment and much more.

Major Responsibilities:

Office of the CISO

  • Reporting directly to the CISO, provides leads executive reporting, administration, metrics, and other core activities.  Designs key reporting metrics as needed.
  • Supports the CISO and team in meeting scheduling, note distribution and follow-up.

IT Security Operations and Incident Response

  • Collaborates with other GIS staff in global monitoring and management of all systems and leverages skills to lead cyber incident response.
  • Leads network, application and infrastructure vulnerability scanning using premier technologies; tracks remediation (must pass Qualys training).
  • Collaborates with the GIS Communications Officer with key initiatives such as phishing simulation and leads compliance reporting.
  • Monitors information security intelligence and informs IRC staff of pertinent events, research, and developments

IT Security Systems Engineering

  • Serving as system administrator, operates key security technologies such as Azure AD, Office 365 Security and Compliance (Office 365 E3) and Qualys.  (within first 6 months)
  • Leads and documents compliance for oversight reporting as the need arises by IT security standards.

Project Management

  • Supports the GIS PMO Deputy Director and learns our project methodology to drive achievements which are tracked; identifies and performs special projects and initiatives to further advance the IRC risk posture.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in an information systems-related field or equivalent.

Work Experience: 1-2 years in IT operations or support.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven facility with TCP/IP networking and security concepts.
  • Sold grasp of Linux, Windows server O/S, MacOS, Android OS or iOS and a desire to learn other security technologies.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be very effective independently
  • Demonstrable ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various contending demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service, discretion and response
  • Passion for a career in information security and the IRC mission.
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities with significant growth potential; emotional maturity.
  • Strong oral and written communications and problem solving.
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Highly proficient in MS Office; particularly Excel and PowerPoint for executive level presentations.

Language Skills: English required; French and Arabic a plus

Certificates or Licenses: must pass the CISSP exam within 2-3 years (IRC funded); must join FBI InfraGard during 1st year (IRC funded), must gain at least one Qualys security certification during 1st year (IRC funded)

Working Environment: Standard office work environment

Travel: up to 5%
