Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Under the supervision of the overall Chief Supply Unit, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
Provides assistance to the Chief Supply Unit with planning, oversight, management and coordination of supply support to field mission.
Assist in the preparation of budget input, in or order to plan cost estimates /budget implications and long-term forecasts of the organization’s requirement for good and services
Support the preparation and review forecasts of mission requirement, demand plans and cost estimates for input into the budget and acquisition planning.
Supports in ensuring Supply demands are properly prepared and recorded into the data base and submitted timely
Assist in monitoring budget resources, including expenditure against the demand in place in compliance with established rules and regulations.
Assist in monitoring and tracking the demands in the data base ensuring accuracy of the data and adherence to the timelines
Assist in the development, review, monitor, assessment and management of supply contracts for the provision of goods and services.
Support s with the review of draft shopping carts received prior to the final submission.
Support the preparation of accurate technical comparative analysis review of the requirement to be purchased
Assist in finalization of performance repots and other relevant reports to ensure compliance.
Assist in drafting the scope of works for supply service
Undertake market surveys in order to understand the market trends and available goods and services locally.
Performs other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:

Business Administration, international relations or other related discipline

Required experience: 60 Months Experience remark:

At least five (5) year professional experience in administration, Management and of other related areas.At least five years of progressively responsible experience in supply, with good analytical skills, data base management, logistics support. Experience in managing support services of international peacekeeping, field or military operations is highly desirable. knowledge of the UN rules, regulations and working practices pertaining to field missions is an advantage.
