THE Internship

Under the supervision of the Strategic Partnerships Analyst (and overall guidance of the Chief, Strategic Partnerships), the incumbent will perform and undertake the following duties:

Donor Notes

  • Carry out initial research and donor analysis and mapping for regular updating of IDLO donor notes.

Strategic Monitoring

  • Execute strategic monitoring functions towards IDLO’s key donor targets via internet research and the already established monitoring tools (Devex website, google alerts, email subscriptions etc.). Take the lead on highlighting relevant intelligence to RM Unit for onward IDLO/internal dissemination.
  • Monitor main development websites (Devex, DFID, Grants.gov and others) to identify new program opportunities for potential submission to the Opportunity Review Committee (ORC).

Preparation for Missions, Meetings, and Events

  • Provide assistance for the preparation of materials needed by Strategic Partnerships for missions, meetings, and events. Liaise with colleagues across Director General’s Office, Strategic Communications, Government Relations, etc to ensure availability of key documents for donor briefing packs.

Capacity Building

  • Update or develop online strategic partnerships capacity development packages.

Coordinate Transition to SharePoint

  • Support IDLO’s transition and creation of files and processes to SharePoint Platform.

Other

  • Perform other similar duties as assigned by the supervisor.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

IDLO seeks an intern with a genuine interest and passion for the Organization’s mission. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An undergraduate degree in business, politics, or another social sciences.

Languages

  • He/she will be international and ideally multilingual. Excellent English is required. 

Competencies

  • Must have excellent writing, editing and analytical skills as well as an understanding of external relations and environments governing international organizations.
  • Good team player, positive attitude, flexible mind, comfortable working in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Terms and conditions

IDLO provides all full-time interns with a monthly stipend of €600. Internships are offered for 3 months renewable up to 6 months.
