Work Experience:
-A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, implementing and/or managing governance related programs is required, preferably within a humanitarian, international development setting
-A proven track record and with at least 3 years of field based experience working in the DRC
-Applied experience of governance work in health, education or other basic services an advantage
-Prior experience providing technical advisory support
-Experience in strategy development and working across sectors or disciplines is highly desired
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
-Strong analytical, presentation, organizational and problem solving skills
-Demonstrated expertise in program design, monitoring and evaluation, with the ability to turn concepts and strategy into measurable action;
-Must be a team player with a track record of collaborating across disciplines;
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education: Master’s/post-graduate degree in public administration, political science, international development, economics or other relevant field.
Language Skills: Fluency in French and English is required
Preferred experience & skills:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in French and English, as well as, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications
•Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time
•Strong analytic problem solving skills
•Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
•Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
Working Environment:
•Standard office working environment
•Extensive international travel, up to 50%
•This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace.
