Job Overview: Senior Immigration Program Officer provides guidance, leadership and direct support for immigration services in all four IRC Northern California offices, ensuring providing immigration services in compliance with federal immigration laws and regulations. The manager is expected to be DOJ accredited representative for the IRC Northern California. This is a full –time, 37.5 hours/week, exempt position. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Major Responsibilities:
STRATEGY
•Develop strategic plan for IRC NorCal immigration services in coordination with IRC NorCal Executive Director and national Immigration Director
•Develop partnerships to support NAC, Workshops and other services in each community.
•Develop effective working relationship with other immigration services providers, CBOs, local USCIS offices, etc…
•Connect with HQ Immigration leadership on overarching strategy goals
•Work with Nor Cal Development Team to secure ongoing and new funding.
•Represent IRC Immigration services for media and communications needs in coordination with Development team
•Lead offices in piloting new innovations and reaching established goals and outcomes
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
•Oversee immigration programs in each IRC NorCal offices, providing guidance, leadership and direct support in all aspects of service provision
•Maintain weekly calls with each office with established schedule, respond to immigration service questions from immigration staff, update immigration staff on important changes regarding immigration services or policies,
•Oversee coordination of naturalization workshops offered by IRC NorCal offices
•Ensure the maintenance of accurate, complete and confidential case files on all immigration services
•Attend partnership meetings and oversee staff in attending local NAC, Consortium and other partnership meetings.
•Maintain ongoing communication with Executive Director on status of immigration services
•Other tasks as needed or assigned by Executive Director
•Cooperate with IRC NorCal Leadership Team members to ensure efficient collaboration in delivery of quality services
•Hold regional Immigration team meetings to review procedures, policies, goals and outcomes
•Responsible for oversight of all recruiting, hiring, training and accreditation processing of immigration staff and interns/ volunteers, in coordination with direct supervisors, volunteer coordinators and office site leads.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
•Establish budget for Immigration services in coordination with Executive Director
•Oversee revenue and expenses for all funding sources
•Track fees based generation and oversee how offices collect and track all incoming fees
OUTCOMES AND GRANTS MANAGEMENT
•Collect information and maintain records of provided immigration services, by each office and as a region,
•Collect, prepare and submit reports on immigration services to Executive Director, HQ Immigration Department and funders, as needed,
•Ensure that IRC is in compliance with all state, federal and other contract guidelines and to meet goals for each contract/grant,
•Ensure IRC participation in all collaborative meetings and activities (presentations, workshops, etc…)
•Prospect for new revenue.
•Responsible with IRC grants team for the creation of all funding proposals and the generation of all funding required reports.
