The objective of this assignment is to provide technical support to the C4D portfolio within the context of emerging COVID 19 pandemic.

Objective:

The objective of this assignment is to provide technical support to the C4D portfolio within the context of emerging COVID 19 pandemic. The rapidly evolving situation requires additional support to properly respond to the MoHP Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) plan implementation. Given the need to timely respond to the pandemic the C4D team will also need additional support to deliver the existing commitments on parenting and girls’ empowerment portfolio.

Key Tasks and Deliverables:

1.     Technical support for National Girls Empowerment Initiative (Dawwie) toolkit

1.1  Structure of the toolkit (detailed plan with recommendations)

QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AND ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations or another relevant technical field.

Experience: A minimum of one year of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required:  social development programme planning, communication for development, public advocacy or another related area.

Multimedia production experience is a must. Research experience is desirable.

Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.

Language requirement: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.

Within the given conditions of the widespread of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is a must that the candidate is able to work under stress and in emergency.

Please submit a financial offer along with your proposal, which contains the following information:

  • Detailed curriculum vitae including a description of main achievements;
  • Fee for services to be provided – based on the deliverables in the Terms of Reference
  • Wherever possible, indicate the itemized cost of the travel (air tickets etc).

A detailed Financial Proposal quoted in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) which must outline:

  • Overall fees for 40 working days
  • Any costs to be incurred related to the consultancy

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
