Operating since 2004 in Lebanon, DRC has addressed the needs and rights of vulnerable populations, working initially with Palestinian refugees (since 2004), Iraqi refugees (2007-2010), Lebanese IDPs (during the 2006 conflict), migrant domestic workers (since 2009) and, since 2011, responding to the Syrian refugee crisis.

DRC Lebanon is currently delivering programming in protection, housing, infrastructure, basic assistance, livelihoods, and community development interventions. This myriad programming seeks to address the immediate needs of displaced populations and concurrently support vulnerable host populations. DRC has five offices spread throughout Lebanon in, Beirut, the Bekaa, Saida, Tripoli and Qobayat.

 

About the job

The Grants and Reporting Officer (GRO) will work with programme staff to develop high-quality and timely internal and external reports and communication materials. The GRO will support the Grants Specialist in Beirut on initiatives to expand the North portfolio including coordinating proposal development processes.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

 

  • Develop and prepare high-quality, timely reports for donors, partners, and government on programme progress, ensuring all donor reporting requirements are met and strategically positioned to demonstrate DRC’s leadership in programming in the country context.
  • Manage reporting workflows and processes between programme and finance team leaders, the programme manager, and the Beirut team to ensure the timely and quality development and review of reports.
  • Serve as main gatekeeper of high-quality reporting activities for the North Lebanon portfolio; including reviewing, editing, and providing donor guidance on reports to draft original content ..
  • Coordinate thedevelopment and design of communication materials, including reports, activity plans, and information updates.
  • Support the Program Manager and Grant Specialist in providing timely, thorough responses to information requests from internal and external sources. Support the Program Manager and the Grants Specialist in contributing to and overseeing proposal development processes, including drafting and producing high quality inputs for concept notes and proposals.
  • Provide capacity building (training sessions, coaching,) on writing skills and reporting/proposal writing for partners and DRC staff
  • Support and/or coordinate initiatives to identify, research, write, and report on key sector findings for internal and external audiences, packaging stories that center on evidence to further illustrate impact of the programming.
  • Work closely with program M&E staff to ensure credible, best-practice monitoring and reporting of program activities and proper inclusion of findings in reports.
  • Increase visibility by supporting, Tls, PM, and AM in the development ofing communication materials, such as sector profiles, impact reports, program briefings, leadership and positioning pieces, and other relevant pieces.
  • Assist in translating reports or communication material. 

 

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a University degree in international relations, project management, business administration, or equivalent professional qualification. Moreover, we also expect the following:

 

Required

  • At least 2 years of professional experience with an international humanitarian or development organization in reporting and proposal development
  • Familiarity with UNS and EU donors with special attention to reporting requirements.
  • Ability to represent DRC to international donors, government officials, local groups and community members.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English languages

We offer

Contract length: 6 months

Band/Level: H2 – salary equivalent to 1750 USD

Duty Station: North Lebanon
