Job Description

IRC’s Marketing unit is responsible for generating brand awareness and financial support for the IRC through mass-marketing.  Focusing primarily on individuals giving contributions of under $10K, the unit aims to acquire, cultivate and develop a large, diverse base of supporters—mainly through digital channels—from which donors can be upgraded to major donors and planned giving. The unit comprises four teams:  Direct Marketing- USA, Direct Marketing – New Markets, Creative and Brand, and Marketing Analytics.  Through compelling, targeted messaging and imagery, these teams work cohesively to inform and inspire IRC supporters.

Job Overview:

The Digital Marketing Officer, Paid Media will report to the Associate Director of Digital Marketing and will support in all aspects of the implementation of the IRC’s digital acquisition program.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development of new campaigns from inception, creative development to placement.
  • Work closely with IRC digital media agency to ensure campaigns are developed, delivered on time and are optimized.
  • Collate results and analysis to help drive optimization in the program.
  • Work with analytics team to ensure that all KPIs are measured and regularly reviewed to enhance performance.
  • Measure and report campaign performance against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • With the media agency and Analytics team, be the key focal point for regular real-time status reports on performance of paid media and suggest ways to maximize returns.
  • Act as key focal point for IRC’s Facebook fundraisers. Drive the program and report on income raised vs. targets.
  • Support in the development and implementation of testing strategies for advertising; continually testing and iterate recruitment and engagement (that leads to conversion) tactics via paid media to maximize engagement and revenue.
  • Help ensure all paid recruitment materials are on brand and of the highest quality.
  • Support on the creation and implementation of paid media plans to support on emergency and non-emergency campaigns with corporate brands, recent partners include: Tripadvisor, Airbnb, Google, etc.
  • Project Manages the Paid Media and Acquisition Activity – coordinating between MarComms, DMUSA and agencies.
  • Provides admin support to the Supporter Recruitment Team when required.

Qualifications

Work Experience:

Minimum: 3+ years’ work experience in modern high performance global digital fundraising environments

Licenses or Certifications:  None required

Language Skills:  None

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

Understanding of implementation and monitoring of paid digital fundraising campaigns in US and ideally other global markets

Proven ability using analytics to inform and influence decision making

Working Environment:

This is role may require working remotely full or part time (i.e., telecommuting). Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace they can effectively complete their work from during regularly scheduled hours.
