STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  University degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences or other field relevant to international development assistance.

Language: Fluency (level C) in English and Spanish language.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

This job is found in Nicaragua Country Office, based in Managua and reports to the Donor Relations Officer. Job holders are required to carry out well-defined activities and straight forward analytical work. They are likely to be working closely with a more experienced professional staff member receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed. 

JOB PURPOSE

To provide support to the Project and Partnership Management Unit, particularly in the areas of reporting and donor relations to effectively meet food assistance needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
  1. Prepare corporate monthly, annual, ad-hoc, and donor specific reports of WFP Nicaragua’s operations and programmes to inform on results, lessons learned and best practices.
  2. Follow templates, data gathering, and monitoring systems ensuring that rigorous quality standards are maintained, in line with WFP’s corporate reporting guidelines.
  3. Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reporting on programmes and activities that enable informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
  4. Support the Programme Unit with analysis and revision of internal documents and reports to ensure overall quality.
  5. Provide analysis on humanitarian and development issues, socioeconomic developments, donor policies, and relevant trends to ensure country specific input to WFP’s operational reporting.
  6. Provide support to the donor relations team for effective resource mobilization for WFP programmes and operations. This entails supporting the unit in the preparation of donor proposals and reports, collection of data, analysis and write-up of documents, ensuring a coordinated approach with other relevant Country Office units.
  7. Track and collate data to support managers in developing new strategies to maintain and increase funding from new and traditional donors.
  8. Provide guidance to support staff, acting as a point of referral and assisting them with analysis and queries.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

POSITION TITLE: Donor Relations and Reporting Associate 

CONTRACT TYPE: Service Contract SC6 

DUTY STATION: (City, Country): Managua, Nicaragua

DURATION OF APPOINTMENT: Twelve (12) months. Renewal subject to funds and performance.
