UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre is looking for a Process Optimization and Automation (POA) Developer to support the Customer Care Section with assessed client needs for automation, delivering proof-of-concept automations, process assessments, trainings, installations, process definition, aautomation development and deployment, creating an environment that will multiple the efficiency and quality of the current and proposed solutions.

UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest, Hungary manages the processing of transactions on behalf of UNICEF offices around the world. The GSSC provides services to UNICEF offices globally in the areas of HR Administration, Payroll, Finance and Customer Care (Information Technology Global Help Desk). How can you make a difference?

UNICEF GSSC has a continuous improvement process which often identifies needed changes in processes and systems used, and this sometimes results in automating manual processes and finding innovative ways to improve performance of individuals and teams. The Process Optimization and Automation (POA) Developer’s goal is to support the Customer Care Section with assessed client needs for automation, delivering proof-of-concept automations, process assessments, trainings, installations, process definition, automation development and deployment, creating an environment that will multiple the efficiency and quality of the current and proposed solutions.

Responsibilities

The POA Developer colleague will work together with the Customer Care and the IT teams in identifying automation process opportunities while ensuring applicable compliance, quality and documentation standards are met and maintained. The work requires close partnering with various subject matter experts from all the GSSC section, such as Finance, HR, Customer Care, IT, Payroll, and other stakeholders sharing information and ensure an optimal solution to the business.

This will involve

  • Developing automation based on (documented) business requirements, create ’bot’ procedure and create/maintain all relevant documents in the knowledge base.
  • Participating in functional testing. Working with the business to document changes to current business practices and assist in process re-engineering and change management planning efforts.
  • Mentoring and coaching early adopters of the developed products in business units.
  • Providing on-going support including process changes, defect fixes, software upgrades, performance tuning, and other maintenance activities.
  • Peer review of robot and automated procedures developed to ensure compliance with internal control/security/audit requirements.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education (i.e. high school diploma) is a minimum requirement.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, programming, information technology and automation is highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft Suite of Products (including MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint) is required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience*
  • Programming skills in Autoit Script, Powershell, VBA, VB script, SQL or similar. Besides that, Programming skills on any RPA platforms. UiPath and Windowshuttle is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS Visio, project management tools is an advantage.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
  • Non - Hungarian citizens must be in possession of a work permit (unrelated to current employer or job seeking) or be nationals of the EU countries.

*A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards the minimum work experience requirement.

Contract Duration and Terms

  • This appointment’s duration is 12 months.
  • Anticipated start date is 1 May (or as soon as possible).
  • Salary is between 616.000-828.000 HUF, according to previous work experience. (You can find the official UN Salary Scale for Hungary at https://www.un.org/Depts/OHRM/salaries_allowances/salaries/budapest.htm
  • In light of current situation, home office opportunity is provided under agreement with supervisor.
