IRC is seeking a Protection Monitoring Consultant for Afghanistan to support the Protection and Rule of Law team to draft monthly protection monitoring reports in Afghanistan five days a month for 5 months. Working closely with the Deputy Protection and Rule of Law coordinator, the Integrated Protection coordinator, and the VPRU Technical Advisers, the consultant will review the monitoring tools, compile and analyze the data collected by the protection monitoring teams in the five provinces and draft monthly monitoring reports. The consultant will also be responsible to, in strong cooperation with the PRoL TA, help build the capacities of the Deputy PRol Coordinator and the Protection Monitoring team in Protection Monitoring report writing.
Deliverables:
The Protection Monitoring Consultant for Afghanistan will deliver:
1.Reviewed Protection Monitoring tools, including SOPs/Guidance for the VPRU teams.
2.Five monthly Protection Monitoring reports (from July to November).
3.Regular mentoring of the Deputy PRoL coordinator on best practice and guidance on protection monitoring report writing.
4.Recommendations for IRC’s Protection Monitoring approach in Afghanistan
