How can you make a difference?

Ensure that the office is managed in accordance with best administrative practices and will ensure that supplies, equipment, utilities and consumables for the administration of the office is adequate to avoid shortages and supervise minor structural repairs for quality works
 
Ensure rational management of fuel, office supplies and monitor stock balances to avoid shortages and render periodic account to the supervisor. Supervise and control vehicle movements and field visits and ensure that meetings are organized and held in good conditions and personalities are received in accordance with accepted norms.
 
Keep and maintain assets register. Ensure the maintenance of assets, their replacement as well as disposals and keep all related accounts. Keep and maintain office files and archives in accordance with best practices.
 
In collaboration with the supervisor and The Ndjamena Office, prepare TOR for service contracts, issue and collect quotations and ITS, liaise with Ndjamena office for issuance of requisitions, monitor delivery of goods and services, acknowledge deliveries and dispatch
invoices to Ndjamena for payment.
 
With the assistance of the Warehouse Assistant, receive, inspect, stock, arrange and issue out supplies in the field office warehouse in a manner that will facilitate "First to Expire, First Out" (FEFO) while paying attention to PO, expiry dates and storage conditions.
 
Keep warehouse clean and free of encumbrances to facilitate ventilation, inventory count and reconciliation. Ensure the monitoring of stock movements and updating of bin cards and stock and stock registers. Monitor quality of drugs by visually checking for broken or ripped packages, leaking contents, discoloration of products, broken seals, presence of rodents etc. and make recommendations for  remedial action.
 
Ensure availability of security items such as: smoke detectors, periodic checking of standards fire extinguishers and training of staff in the use of the materials.
 
Any other assigned administrative and Supply responsibilities are effectively carried out and
delivered


To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
• Completion of Secondary School. University level course in Administration, Supply, Procurement, Business Management,
Logistics or equivalent
 
• A minimum of Seven years of relevant work experience in Administration, Supply, Procurement, Business Management, Logistics or equivalent.
  Experience in an international organization desirable.
  Work experience in emergency duty station.
       More years of relevant work experience would an asset.
 
• Fluency in French and knowledge of English. Knowledge of the local language an asset.
