Organizational Setting\: FAO Uganda supports efforts that enhances the capacity of stakeholders to harness positive effects of migration” in Uganda to create income-generating opportunities in agribusiness by tapping into the entrepreneurial potential of diaspora through investment and knowledge transfer, while also fostering policy dialogue. These efforts will contribute to the implementation of the Global Compact for Migration (GCM) at country level through the existing National Coordination Mechanism on Migration (NCM) to which FAO is a member. Reporting Lines; The National Consultant will report to the FAO Representative, Antonio Querido, through the Policy Officer, JeanMarie Byakweli, while also reporting to the technical team at FAO-Headquarters, namely to the ESP Rural Migration Officer, Jacqueline Demeranville, and to the ESP Social Protection officer, Omar Benammour, who coordinate the Programmes at the global level. The National Consultant will work in close collaboration with FAO-Headquarters international migration consultant, and the Youth, Migration and Social Protection FAO Uganda focal point. Technical Focus\: Support the implementation of the migration and social protection interventions in Uganda. Tasks and responsibilities\: Support migration activities under the ‘”Strengthening Capacity to Harness Positive Effects of Migration” (FMM/GLO/133/MUL) Project, the consultant will be required to perform the following tasks;
