The PFP Division of UNICEF is seeking to contract consultant(s) to provide background information, basic analysis and key insights on the business world to feed into a Situation Analysis (SitAn) on the world of business and its relevance for social change for children. This will inform the development of UNICEF’s next Strategic Plan (2022-2025). The aim is to support UNICEF staff to better understand the world of business in order that they are better equipped to identify key strategic business engagement directions and priorities (excluding fundraising involving business).

Application Guidance:

  1. In your cover letter, please indicate which consultancy assignment(s) you are applying for. 
  2. This is an "individual consultancy", by which UNICEF means that a named individual is expected to make the bid and is ultimately responsible for all deliverables under each assignment. 
  3. If you're applying for more than one consultancy assignment, in your cover letter, please provide a) a brief proposed synopsis for each consultancy assignment, and b) your ability, availability (the earliest date you can start), and respective gross fee (in USD) to undertake the respective deliverables (including all other expenses related) for each consultancy assignment. Applications submitted without a rate will not be considered. 

Remarks: Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein. Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
