The Manager, Planned Giving resides within the USA Philanthropy division of External Relations at the International Rescue Committee. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual with a team orientation, to support planned giving donors as well as work closely with partners in Principal and Major Giving, Donor Relations, and Mass Marketing.

The Manager, Planned Giving will be responsible for managing the flow of IRC’s bequest pipeline, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the Charitable Gift Annuity program.As a first point of contact for new donors and the project manager for the team, the Manager will be a core member of a fundraising effort that averages over $9 million in annual revenue. Key responsibilities will include: providing operational and account management for the frontline fundraisers and managing the estate process from open to close.

Major Responsibilities:

•Administer IRC’s open estates portfolio by keeping and updating records and files, working with estate attorneys to ensure timely distribution, and coordinating with General Counsel and Finance departments.

•Manage administration of the CGA program.

•Be the first point of contact and liaise with all donors inquiring about making a planned gift.

•Manage the operational functions of planned giving by providing weekly reports on goals, benchmarking annually, creating donor lists, and maintaining data integrity in Salesforce.

•Manage planned giving leads, and coordinate with PG officers for qualification.

•Other duties as required.
