Background

The Syria crisis is often described as the worst humanitarian catastrophe since the end of the Cold War. Inside Syria, 7.6 million people are internally displaced and 12.2 million are in need of humanitarian assistance, with 4.8 million in hard-to-reach areas. There are 3.8 million Syrian refugees in neighboring countries. This is no short-term humanitarian episode. The devastating human consequences to huge numbers of people will endure for decades. The destruction of relationships, communities, livelihoods, homes and infrastructure will take years to repair.

IRC is offering a robust humanitarian response to the Syria crisis with an annual budget in excess of $140 million and a rapidly expanding portfolio, supported by more than 1,250 staff in the region. IRC is undertaking programs in Syria and the neighboring countries of Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan in the fields of health, child protection, education, women’s protection and empowerment, NFI and food distribution, cash assistance, water and sanitation, and livelihood programming. Our work in these challenging settings gives rise to some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary humanitarian action, including questions of access, security, funding and coordination.

Job Overview/Summary:

The PHC nurse Works under the management of Health officer with close technical guidance of the PHC doctor / specialized PHC doctor. She/ He will be responsible of supporting the health and medical activities in his/her clinic, taking clinical history, making examination for the patient, taking vital signs for patients, first aid care of patients in the clinic , wounds dressings, registering the procedures and patient information data on the HIS tools, keeping the logs, and patient health data confidential. Working on patients’ triage, organizing patients list and their que to see the doctor.

Job Responsibilities

The PHC nurse is expected to undertake the following tasks:

• Receipt the patients and their families in the clinic with kind and respectful manner that respects privacy, and makes a comfortable atmosphere.
• Building a trust relationship with the patient and paying all attention with care of patient suffering. Keeping strict consideration to confidentiality.
• Helping inexamination for the patient by take vital signs, and registering them
• Providing first aid care, CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), triage, and wound dressing services.
• Registering complete clinical history of the patients.
• Registeringthe doctor’s diagnosis for every medical case, with the results of diagnosis investigations
• Making proper medical procedures depending on Doctor guides and ensuring that these procedures are high quality

Provide patient education

• Giving clear and earlyneeds assessment for his/her clinic to avoid any lack of clinic instruments and need
• Keeping the instruments and furniture safe and used well only by concerned staff.
• He/she works as team member and cooperate effectively with another colleagues

vالمساعدة في فحص المريض عن طريق أخذ العلامات الحيوية ، وتسجيلها,تسجيل التشخيص لكل حالة طبية ، مع نتائج تحقيقات التشخيص

vتوفير رعاية الإسعافات الأولية ، الإنعاش القلبي الرئوي (CPR) ، الفرز ، وخدمات تضميد الجرح.

vتسجيل التاريخ السريري الكامل للمرضى.

vتشخيص وعلاج الأمراض المنقولة جنسيا بالتشاور مع الطبيب

vتسجيل تشخيص الطبيب لكل حالة طبية ، مع نتائج تحقيقات التشخيص

vاتخاذ الإجراءات الطبية المناسبة اعتمادا على إرشادات الطبيب والتأكد من أن هذه الإجراءات ذات جودة عالية

vتوفير تثقيف المريض
