The overall objective of this role is to coordinate and track all requests for workshops, webinars, individual and group coaching from HR Focal Points globally and to liaise directly with the PMCD Facilitators/Coaches to assign responsibility for delivering workshops and/or coaching sessions, taking into account geographic location and language specific requirements.

The Performance Management & Career Development Center of Expertise (PMCD CoE) evolved from the HR Reform launched in 2016 to spearhead UNICEF’s agile performance management strategy and culture. The PMCD Section has an ongoing requirement to design and deliver targeted learning interventions, train the trainer workshops, in addition to, coaching in career management and performance enhancement, for the benefit of UNICEF managers and staff.

With the recent implementation of the VOICE & REACH programmes, the revised Competency Framework and the pending design of the Global Recognition and Reward programme, the Section has a requirement for a Consultant to coordinate the varying requests for interventions, from the global HR Community, while liaising with the PMCD Facilitators/Coaches to ascertain and confirm availability for programme delivery and evaluation of same.

The PMCD CoE work is spread across four pillars namely: (1) Performance Management (2) Career Development, (3) ACHIEVE System Development & Support, (4) PMCD Projects

How can you make a difference?

The overall objective of this role is to coordinate and track all requests for workshops, webinars, individual and group coaching from HR Focal Points globally and to liaise directly with the PMCD Facilitators/Coaches to assign responsibility for delivering workshops and/or coaching sessions, taking into account geographic location and language specific requirements.

Under the guidance of the direct supervisor, Chief PMCD and in close collaboration with PMCD CoE team members, the individual contractor will assist in supporting the four pillars through partnership and collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.

The role includes the following:

  • Act as PMCD Focal Point for all requests on workshops, webinars, individual and group coaching from the global HR counterparts and other UNICEF staff.
  • Collaborate with global HR counterparts to ascertain training needs and confirm staffing details before liaising with Facilitators/Coaches.
  • Liaise directly with PMCD Facilitators/Coaches to coordinate the delivery of training programmes and or coaching interventions.
  • Act as the PMCD Focal Point to ensure relevant meetings between HR Focal Points and the PMCD Facilitators to confirm logistical arrangements as required.
  • Liaise with HR Focal Points to ensure post workshop/webinar/ coaching evaluations are done for all PMCD Programmes and develop feedback reports for HR Manager .
  • Provide support in monitoring trends in Performance Management and Career Development at the global level.
  • Maintain the online Workshop and Coaching tracker, providing a weekly report for the Section on requests for services vs confirmations for delivery.
  • Create monthly reports of requests for services vs delivery of services and maintain the workshop / coaching tracker
  • Reconcile Coaching Programme Costs and maintain a log of ongoing coaching costs
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, however, a Master’s degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Events Management, Education or related field is an advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of professional working experience with proven track record in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Events Planning/Management, Customer Service or Learning & Development
  • Excellent skills in capturing, analysing, managing, retrieving and disseminating information effectively, using appropriate information system;
  • Excellent written and spoken English

LANGUAGES

  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of another UN working language is an advantage.  

 SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills, coupled with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner bother in written and oral form;
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments simultaneously and adapt to changing demands and circumstances;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across a diverse audience while developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships;
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications e.g. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to analyse data to inform decision making.
