Overview of position
UNICEF has been operating in Libya to fulfil its mandate to protect children and providing support and services to the vulnerable communities. All sections of the organization work with the Libyan government to mobilize material resources to meet the needs of children and their families. The materials used for this assistance are sourced from local and international suppliers.
In order to effectively manage these materials to beneficiaries, UNICEF establishes working relationships with commercial companies that have the capability to perform essential functions. 
UNICEF Libya CO requires different services for programmatic and emergency related handling, storing and managing of goods. The consultancy is to facilitate and monitor all the releases from Unicef warehouse in Tripoli.
 
Role objectives
Under the supervision of Supply and Logistics Associate supervisor based in Tripoli, the consultant will provide technical support in warehouse related services included but not limited to, releases from the warehouse, stock takes, regular stock counts, receivables and releases reports, coordination with warehouse service provider, transporters and partners.  
Project reporting
The Warehouse Coordinator will be required to daily/weekly and ad -hoc reports are quired by the supervisor and UNICEF Supply & Logistic Officer   
Key competencies • Completion of secondary school education is required
• Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible warehouse-related work experience.
• Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic.

• Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible warehouse-related work experience.

Languages
The facilitators are expected to be fluent in Arabic and English ( writing and speaking)

This role does't require a management field

  1. Job Administration:
  • It is a full-time job based in Tripoli that might require some travel to other locations of the country as per supervisor request
  • The consultant is expected to be in on the warehouse at least 80 % of his /her time
  • The monthly payment is subject to the receipt of the certified monthly report against the detailed work plan agreed and signed off by the supervisor at the beginning of eash month.
