Amnesty International Indonesia is seeking a professional with demonstrated experience in human rights, to contribute to the development of overarching research and campaigning strategies to deliver impact, and to lead on the development and implementation of specific campaigning strategies, managing and coordinating actions on human rights concerns in Indonesia aimed at effecting change in the human rights situation

ABOUT THE ROLE
To lead on facilitating the development and support of Amnesty International’s media and communication strategy in Indonesia in order to advance the organization’s human rights agenda and raise awareness of Amnesty International’s work to promote and protect human rights, to support Amnesty International’s global campaigns and to attract a growing number of supporters to the movement.

ABOUT YOU
The suitable candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English and have strong knowledge of international, regional and national media - across traditional and digital platforms, understanding of international political and human rights issues and specifically how these issues apply in Indonesia. Ability to judge issues and impact with sound decisions as well as experience in issues and crisis management while maintaining Amnesty International’s brand internationally through the right messaging and framing.

Amnesty International Indonesia is a national human rights entity that is part of a global human rights movement, established to address national human rights priorities as well as create the possibility for people in Indonesia to join Amnesty International’s global human rights campaigns. Our mission in Indonesia is to address pertinent national human rights issues through research, campaigning and human rights education, and to empower Indonesians to take action on issues that matter to them through AI’s international human rights movement; and to leverage Indonesia’s influence regionally and globally to promote human rights domestically, bilaterally and internationally.
