The Regional Human Resources section, UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Region Office (EAPRO) is seeking an individual consultant to conduct an online writing workshop for UNICEF colleagues to improve the structure, messaging, clarity and conciseness, while avoiding jargon and impersonal language in their professional writing.

How can you make a difference?

The Regional Human Resources section, UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Region Office (EAPRO) is seeking an individual consultant to conduct an online writing workshop for UNICEF colleagues to improve the structure, messaging, clarity and conciseness, while avoiding jargon and impersonal language in their professional writing.

 

Work Assignment

UNICEF EAPRO is seeking services of a consultant to conduct 2 Virtual Professional English Writing Workshops and deliver summary reports on attendees. Under the direct supervision of UNICEF Regional Human Resources Specialist, the consultant will;

  • Conduct the online writing workshop for up to 10 staff via zoom (preferred) or other similar stable online learning delivery product (consultant's own license). Software must be compatible with UNICEF computers and accessible by all participants. Using various teaching methodologies, organize and deliver an online, over 2 half days, capacity building workshop to improve the professional English writing skills of participating staff members.
  • Develop a final report after each workshop with recommendations for participant's continued improvement.

 

Work Schedule and Deliverables:

The workshop sessions scheduled as needed for the duration of contract.

Initial request of 2 workshops of 2 half-days each: 1 session in October 2020 and 1 session in November 2020

 

Estimated Duration of Contract:   2 months: Tentative duration: October - November 2020

 

Official Travel: The consultant will work remotely from home.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Minimum 8 years' experience as a trainer of high-quality international standard Previous Professional English Writing instruction experience
  • Previous experience with working within UN environment
  • Experience teaching in an On-line environment to adult-learners in a professional setting

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
