Eligibility criteria

Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the direct supervision of the SLI Project Manager and Head of Governance and Social Cohesion Unit, the Communication and Visibility Associate will ensure

-Effective support to the project activities communication and visibility UNDP Component;

-Attendance of RUNO’s Communication and Visibility monthly meetings and other meetings as relevant;

-Provide support government IP’s of the Justice systems on the advocacy days identified;

-Capacity building of government IP’s focal points with their specific communications needs;

-Support the implementation of SLI Communication and Visibility among UNDP partners and Donors;

- Collect the UNDP SLI information and preparing newsletters, FactSheets, web pages, posters, broadcast scripts, and other outreach materials;

- Provide support for public information on modern public relations approaches and social media communications tools, information management, and outreach activities to showcase the project achievements, UNDP Components;

- Support the SLI Manager and other supervisors in upgrading public communication approaches, press releases, media strategies to increase the public outreach level, accountability and transparency.

-Prepares, edits, translate, coordinates and distributes news releases and other relevant information to UNDP Regional service center and HQ.

Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:

University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Mass Communication, Media, Administration and another related field

Required experience: 24 Months Experience remark:

Ms Office and other application.

Journalism, mass media and broadcasting, Public information and reporting, Other rule of law or governance related experience

Language skills:
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  • Portuguese(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
