The primary role of the caseworker for the Wichita anti-trafficking program, The Lighthouse Project, is to provide comprehensive, culturally appropriate, trauma-informed and client-centered case management services to victims and survivors of human trafficking (sex and/or labor trafficking) in Sedgwick County. This includes eligibility screening and program enrollment; developing service plans; educating about community services, resources, and legal rights; and helping problem solve to address barriers to success. The caseworker is responsible for all case noting and maintaining case file documentation. The caseworker will also have a role in community outreach activities.

Major Responsibilities:

•Knowledge and understanding of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), accompanying regulations, reauthorizations and related policies concerning anti-trafficking at the state and federal level is required.

•Build and maintain relationships with various local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, and community partners

•Develop strategies to further assist in the identification and referral of victims of trafficking in Kansas.

•Provide assistance with the development and implementation of all outreach and training activities to ensure program outcomes are achieved.

•Provide culturally- and linguistically- appropriate comprehensive case management services including referrals to service providers, coordination of services with local partners, and addressing barriers to success.

•Provide appropriate legal referrals and help identify and arrange social service activities in-line with service plans.

•Ensure acute needs are met in a timely manner.

•Maintain electronic client case files and complete case notes in a thorough and timely fashion.

•Participate in all program meetings, staff development activities and generally be an engaged team member.

•Comply with all policies, procedures and protocols and adhere to the IRC Way.

•Provide remote case management services as needed. May require occasional travel outside of the Wichita metropolitan area and to rural communities in Kansas.

•Other duties as assigned
