Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.
Description of taskUNV Digital Communication Officer will undertake the following tasks:
- Support Social Media accounts Management (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube).
- Produce graphic and multimedia materials for Social Media accounts, website and others digital supports.
- Produce a digital monthly newsletter
- Assist in the preparation and production of success stories, website articles, blogs, videos, photo-essay and other digital communications materials .
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of communication activities through daily media clippings and measuring of reach of digital products.
- Support the proposal and implementing innovative ideas for digital campaings, specially related to SDG outreach.
- Raise awareness on web accessibility
Furthermore, participants in the Talent Programme are required to:
- Strengthen their knowledge on the SDGs and the United Nations Development System
- Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day);
- Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNDP and UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.;
- Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering, or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.
- Hold a Bachelor or Master level, degree or be enrolled in a university degree at Master level in Communications, Graphic Design or a field related to UNDP’s work areas.
