The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. In Cambodia, CHAI provides technical and management assistance to the National Center for Parasitology, Entomology and Malaria Control (CNM) of the Ministry of Health of Cambodia with a long-term goal to enable Cambodia to achieve malaria elimination. The overall objective of CHAI’s malaria work in Cambodia is to ensure CNM has evidence-based strategies, strong operational plans and necessary financial resources to effectively implement interventions for elimination. In 2015 and 2020, CHAI helped the Cambodia government develop Malaria Elimination Action Framework (MEAF) 2016-2020 and MEAF2 2021-2025 for malaria elimination and has assisted in the mobilization of donor resources for the implementation of national strategies as per the MEAF. Cambodia has a goal of eliminating P. falciparum by 2020 and P. vivax by 2025.
