Please note that these positions are funded under an Extra-Budgetary (ExB) projects which end on 15 December 2023. The contracts will be issued until 15 December 2023 and the extension is subject to the availability of funds.
The OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, combating human trafficking, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 57 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis. |

Tasks and Responsibilities | ||
The Project Officers are responsible for ensuring coherence and consistency in the implementation of the respective Field Operation trial-monitoring project. The incumbent leads and supervises project staff and provides guidance, oversight, and quality control of work. Reporting to the management of the relevant department in the respective Field Operation and with technical direction from the Programme Co-ordinator in the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna, the Project Officer serves as the main focal point for the project in the respective Field Operation and provides advice, co-ordination and follow-up on all issues relevant to the implementation of the project. The incumbent is responsible for managing the implementation of all phases of the project cycle including reporting, monitoring, and post-project evaluation in compliance with respective Field Operation rules and regulations. The Project Officer directly liaises with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve the project’s objectives. Remuneration Package | ||
Monthly remuneration subject to social security deductions is about US$ 3,991 to which is added Board and Lodging Allowance, currently: Tirana EUR 113, Sarajevo EUR 113, Pristina EUR 116, Podgorica EUR 113 and Skopje EUR 113, per day subject to change without prior notice. Social benefits will include possibility of participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
Please note that appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. |
