SCOPE OF INTERN WORK: The Connect2Work Program supports at-risk youth reach their employment, academic and personal goals. We provide youth the opportunity to receive job search support, interview preparation, tutoring for school and ESL as well as supportive services. The Connect2Work intern will aid in outreach, job search and interview preparation support, Work Readiness Classes and assist with the tutoring program. Interns will learn how to provide case management in a trauma informed, culturally responsive manner, and learn how to cultivate an equitable, antiracist environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Assist Youth Program Coordinators with leading Work Readiness classes and tracking attendance

·Recruit eligible youth for the program and support with community outreach

·Support youth with resume building, job applications and interview preparation

·Assist youth in applying to college or enrolling in secondary school; and applying for FAFSA

·Manage the tutoring program and support volunteers

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Intern will be able to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive support to out-of-school youth

2.Intern will be able to prepare out-of-school youth for employment and academic success3.Intern will be able to provide basic case management support (administration and client service)
