Malaria Supervisor (m/w/d) – National Position.

Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001 and currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions, and provide relief after disasters. Malteser International strives to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.






In support of our work in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State, Myanmar, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Malaria Supervisor (m/w/d) – Maungdaw Programme - National Position.

As Malaria Supervisor, you will be responsible to manage all day-to-day Malaria transactions of the programs/projects to ensure effective program implementation according to MI health policies, procedures and donor requirements. You will also assist the Malaria Officer and Health Manager for efficient Malaria Project management and achievement of overall organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ICMV monitoring and supportive supervision in monthly basis (either in person and/or via phone) with supportive supervision guideline and forms
  • Prepare patient follow ups and monitoring with existing forms and formats and provide malaria testing to nearby houses during monitoring activity
  • Provide case investigation and Foci Investigation and response activities in collaboration with respective township VBDC
  • Provide active case detection, mobile clinic activity, fixed clinic activity according to work plan
  • Facilitate ICMVs patient’s referral for other diseases (TB, DHF and other diseases as mentioned in guideline) according to referral guideline
  • Contribute on the job training to ICMVs during active case detection and promote ICMVs to villagers for better performance and better coordination at village level

Qualifications:

  • A relevant university degree
  • At least 1 years of supervision experience to volunteers
  • Excellent local community languages skills will be an asset
  • Previous working experience in a rural setting and ease in dealing with rural communities
  • Able to live and work with minimum available basic facilities in the field
  • Previous experience with UN or NGO will be an asset

Conditions:

  • Start date: 1st  January 2021
  • Duty Station: Buthidaung/Maungdaw Townships, Rakhine State and its project areas
  • Duration of contract: : 1 year (extendable) due to donor approval
  • Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary, Location Specific Allowance & Health Insurance
