This is an individual consultant opportunity under Child Protection section of UNICEF Nepal Country Office for the duration of 11 months.

The Program Monitoring and IM consultant will assist in tracking progress, reviewing monitoring and data collection processes, and consolidating of results. In addition to data collection and monitoring for all program locations, s/he will also provide direct technical support to partner and program teams.

Note: Travel will be required under this assignmen: Travel related cost will be reimbursed as per actual expenses.
UNICEF is not liable and the consultant/individual contractor is responsible for paying taxes incurred from the remuneration under this contract to the relevant government authorities following the Income Tax Act 2002 of Nepal.

Advanced university degree in statistics, information management, sociology, development or otherclosely related field

At least five years of progressive experience in the field of social development, specifically relatedto child rights programme planning, monitoring, reporting, data analysis and data management• Technical knowledge in quantitative/qualitative/mixed methods, validity/reliability testing ofdata, data analysis, and interpretation and reporting of information• Excellent Nepali and English writing and speaking skills;Competencies• Good communication, coordination, analytical and facilitation skills;• Capacity to work independently and to take initiative;• Demonstrated commitment to delivering timely and high-quality resultsSpecial skills• Familiarity with government planning process and data collection mechanisms in social services• Technical knowledge and skills on development of Monitoring and Evaluation Framework• Familiarity with the children’s issues in Nepal• Experience with using a gender and equity approach in planning• Computer skills (including advanced Spreadsheet/Microsoft Excel)
