Jhpiego is hiring a State Project Lead based at Jaipur (Rajasthan) to support the implementation of the Antenatal risk stratification- intelligent Continuum of Care (iCoC) across targeted facilities of Udaipur. The project aims to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for better risk stratification of clients coming to antenatal check-ups and intrapartum care at the government facilities.

The position is for 15 months as per the current status of the project and will report to the Director- Program & Clinical Services.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of the iCoC project interventions in the state of Rajasthan and keep supervisor updated and make plans in consultation with supervisor and concerned state team members for reviewing/modifying/adjusting the activities of the project with an aim to address the challenges faced and for smooth progress of the project.
• Work closely with stakeholders internally and externally and partnerships for moving forward the project
• Meet regularly with state Government/National Health Mission (NHM) officials and Health Department staff for smooth project management and respond promptly to requests for meetings and reports
• Work closely with the supervisor to prepare work-plan, develop activity budgets, review expenditure, submit timely expenditure reports and ensures overall efficient use of available resources.
• Manage and support the implementation of the annual program work plan by assisting in designing, tracking and providing support to the implementation and monitoring of program activities.
• Work with external partners as appropriate, to ensure strategic alignment on interoperability of ANC and intrapartum platform and data governance.
• Guide and supervise program officers based at district HQ for effective implementation of the project.
• Develop strategies for training and capacity building of healthcare providers and front-line workers on an integrated platform; collaborate with clinical expert/s for ensuring the implementation of best practices and quality service delivery by health care providers.
• Work with the digital health advisor to ensure the effective implementation of AI/ML modules.
• Support in the operationalization of the Internet of Things (IoT) enabled devices at project facilities.
• Support program to achieve project deliverables and timelines as per desired quality and specifications.
• Actively participate in developing various lessons learned and documents under iCoC project and as discussed or advised by supervisor/HQ staff/donor.
• Work with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) colleague/s for specifying the required synthesis and analysis of data related to program, to derive programmatic inputs.
• Provide technical inputs in monitoring and evaluation activities under the project.
• Collaborate with M& E and other team members to ensure continuous learning that maximize the outcome of the program.
• Along with program team, regularly review and share the program updates with supervisor, HQ team and donor, and receive their feedback.
• Organize partners meetings, convene technical and strategic consultations as needed.
• Any other responsibility as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

• Knowledge of the maternal health and service delivery context in India and the region; and familiarity with related areas of health systems; policy; gender and rights.
• Familiarity and experience of undertaking activities for improving maternal health services and use of digital platform in improving services, will be desirable.
• Ability to develop productive working relationships with other agencies, stakeholders, and other organizations.
• Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency and diplomacy both individually and as part of a multi-cultural team effort; ability to work in a cooperative and collegial fashion with seniors and juniors in the team.
• Proactive, results-driven and flexible with reliable follow-through and attention to detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills Hindi, English, and local language.
• Microsoft Office computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work under strict timelines.
• Willingness and flexibility to work on a wide range of tasks.
• Ability to travel for up to 50-60% of her/his time.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors in Medicine with Post-Graduation in Community Medicine/ Public Health (must)
• 10+ years of experience of working with government counterparts, with at least 5 years of experience of managing staff in maternal health or reproductive health or public health programs
• Technical knowledge and field experience in public health programs
• Familiarity with the Indian health system, newer initiatives in the health sector and relevant government policies/strategies particularly NHM
• Experience in implementing and managing programs in the field of digital health
