Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Shortlisted candidates may be required to sit for a written test and/or interview. - Operationalize country-specific common data standards and promote them with partners, including UNHCR data standards and the IASC Common Operational Datasets.
- Compile and aggregate information elements required to produce standardized information products and implement data/information collection plans for baseline and context-specific data. 
- Collect, collate and process information and perform data quality and consistency control.
- Produce summary statistics.
- Support the coordination of data collection teams.
- Support and leverage geographic data for map production and use in geographic information systems (GIS).
- Share UNHCR data with partner agencies and maintain Portal data and information in-line with agreed frequencies.
- Participate in Needs Assessment processes, specifically in data collection, processing/collation and data exploration.
- Liaise with partners and represent UNHCR in meetings related to the functions.
- Make recommendations and provide advice on the technical information management requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

For G6 - 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher

======================================================================================================== The post is based in Data, Information Management Analysis Unit (DIMA) in MENA Bureau in Amman. Under the direct supervision of Senior IMO, the candidate will assist in the production and dissemination of information on the population of concern by using the data visualization softwares such as PowerBI, Adobe Illustrator, ArcGIS etc.


Support and leverage geographic data for map production and use in geographic information systems (GIS).


Develop and maintain spatial baseline and operational datasets in accordance with relevant standards and guidance; produce and update high-quality map products and online services; maintain a repository of spatial data and ensure that the data are documented and accessible to all humanitarian partners through local and/or online services. Make sure that the most updated maps are available for the senior management and other units in the Bureau.


Contribute in the production of information products such as reports, charts and infographics by turning data into graphical products to convey messages and a storyline; develop advocacy materials including posters, presentations and other visual materials.
