Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Quality Assurance Officer or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV HACT officer will:

  • Assist the Quality Assurance Officer in the creation of spot checks in eTools and follow up with staff to ensure the correct status of assurance activities is reflected in eTools
  • Review action points from spot checks and audits and compare with information in eTools for completeness. Any omissions to be notified to the supervisor for corrective action;
  • Validate the details captured in the vendor master in relation to micro assessments by checking whether the correct type of assessment has been captured, the right risk rating and the correct date of assessment. Any noted discrepancies to be notified to the supervisor for corrective action;
  • Log in requests related to the VISION hub into a central database for ease of monitoring;
  • Review completeness of documents in QA ECM ensuring that all documents are properly tagged. Any noted discrepancies to be notified to the supervisor for corrective action; and
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area e.g. finance/accounts/operations management or area related field;

Required experience: 24 Months Experience remark:
  • At least 2 to 5 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in audit, risk management, or operations, or other relevant programmes; experience with a not for profit organisation is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
  • Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
  • Sound security awareness;
  • Have affinity with or interest in working for and with children volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System
Language skills:
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
