Organizational Setting and Work Relationships

The Talent Development and Performance Section (TDPS) functions under the Global Learning and Development Centre (GLDC) which is within the Division of Human Resources.  TDPS¿ goal is to design and deliver an integrated talent and performance management strategy aligned to UNHCR¿s talent management framework. Toward that end, TDPS is focussing on the transformation of the performance management system and providing tools and resources for staff engagement, development and retention aligned to organizational values and performance.

The Talent Development and Performance Associate position sits within TDPS.  The incumbent functions under the direct supervision of a Talent Development and Performance Officer, who provides guidance on priorities, work plans and approaches.

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the development of TDPS resources, tools and processes aimed at improving individual and organizational performance. S/he will also be expected to provide input to TDPS workplans. The job requires the incumbent to contribute to the unit¿s organization wide agenda and, where appropriate, will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in other DHR Sections and in field offices.

Duties
Talent Planning & Communication
- Develop and deliver materials related to Talent development & Performance Management topics for key stakeholders (people, managers & HR in the field) delivered through online and face to face channels.
- Research and draft career path reports for specific functional areas
- Set up, communicate and follow up TDPS webinars, workshops, events.
- Develop and draft reports on activities and KPIs.

Talent Identification, Development & Engagement
- Responsible for data collection and analysis
- Create reports and presentations of data to support decision making related to TIDE activities
- Support HR systems related projects
- Participate in the analysis of survey results and development of recommendations
- Develop resources and facilitates training aimed at building the analytical skills of colleagues
- Create and tracks project workplans
- Perform other related duties as required.



Minimum Qualifications

Education & Professional Work Experience
Years of Experience / Degree Level
For G6 - 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher

Relevant Job Experience
Essential
Previous experience in a Human Resources, Project Management or Change Management role. Experience of having worked on initiatives requiring analysis, creativity, planning and organization. Experience of conducting research and utilising findings and/or data to inform decision making.  Experience of handling confidential information. Proven ability to work independently and to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders within and outside immediate team.

Experience of working in a United Nations system organization.

The Analytics and Reporting position is part of the Talent Identification, Development and Engagement (TIDE) unit which is one of three units within the Talent Development and Performance Section (TDPS).   TDPS functions under the Global Learning and Development Centre (GLDC) which is within the Division of Human Resources (DHR).
In partnership with colleagues across TDPS, DHR, Divisions, Bureaux and Operations, the TIDE Unit works to create an environment that empowers the workforce to leverage potential and achieve high performance.
The Analytics and Reporting Associate will function under the direct supervision of the TDPS Officer.  The incumbent will serve as the expert in workforce data and analytics for the TIDE Unit and work with the TDPS Officer, to support the delivery of the TIDE agenda. The key areas of focus for the team are:
¿ Collection and analysis of talent data
¿ Tracking and reporting on development for talent groups
¿ Design and implementation of staff engagement and experience related initiatives
¿ Review of relevant HR frameworks
¿ Conduct research and recommend improvements to talent management processes and tools

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Data and Analysis and Systems
- Responsible for data collection and analysis

Staff Surveys and Feedback 
- Supports the planning and design of staff surveys
- Partners with colleagues in the analysis of survey results and development of recommendations
- Provides support in the development of survey related presentations
Project and Change Management 
- Creates and tracks project workplans
- Partners with TIDE colleagues in the development and tracking of change management plans
- Undertakes other related duties, as required
Capability Development
- Develops resources and facilitates training aimed at building the analytical skills of the wider the Talent Development, Performance Section (TDPS) and field HR colleagues, as required
