The Saxon Biodiversity Dialogue

Although the consequences of biodiversity loss will affect all of society, there is a lack of awareness of biodiversity in the wider community. A collaboration between UNU-FLORES and the Technische Universität Dresden aims to address this issue in "The Saxon Biodiversity Dialogue".

"The Saxon Biodiversity Dialogue" was awarded the eku Zukunftspreis 2020, funded by the Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (SMEKUL) to increase the awareness of biodiversity in the region. UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden have planned a series of public panel discussions with diverse stakeholders from Saxony, where different aspects of biodiversity will be explored and explained to the public. Individuals and society's roles will be at the centre of this public debate to strengthen voluntary commitment, increase public knowledge, and encourage behavioural changes to protect biodiversity better.
