National Field Coordination Officer

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of [leadership of the UNAC as the first Line Manager and the Head of the Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) as the second Line Manager] or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV [National Field Coordination Officer] will be responsible for:

1. Supporting the UNAC in the Delivering As One activities including the UNDAF reporting and UNSDCF 2021 -2025 implementation and reporting.

2. Advocacy for the SDGs and their localization at community level.

3. Maintain existing and build new partnerships with District Local Government, and other local partners stakeholders for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.

4. Support the functionalization of effective Humanitarian Development coordination mechanism at the district and regional level

5. Support to the coordination role of the UNAC at regional level including organizing meetings, reporting among other activities.

6. Perform other functions/task as may be assigned to you directly by the UNAC or through the UNAC by RCO Kampala.

Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education - Additional Comments:

· Have a university degree in economics, Social sciences, Development studies, International relations or any other closely related field.

Required experience: 36 Months Experience remark:

· Experience in working in the field and or coordination will be an added advantage.

· Knowledge of the UN system is also an advantage.

· Demonstrable skills in writing and presentation

· Have affinity with or interest in coordination, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.

Language skills:
  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
