EDUCATION AMERICORPS (12 months assignment)

Major Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop curriculum and conduct/coordinate youth group orientations, field trips and educational presentations for Middle and High School students
Provide digital literacy support to school aged children
Identify program measurements, and track youth progress to be used in future funding proposals; Analyze pre and post program assessments to track impact of program
Cultivate & maintain community partnerships with school district, partner agencies and other youth service agencies to advocate and provide support for refugee youth

Oversee collection of information needed for reporting purposes, including tracking classroom attendance, student progress and entering data points

Manage a small case load of students by providing home visits, one on one orientation to students, and parents, and providing referrals to additional resources.
Teach ESL classes, and summer academy during the summer in collaboration with the Education Coordinator
Research around factors for successful transition into College
Research potential long term funding opportunities
Other duties as required.
