: Instructional Design Intern

The RAL Instructional Design intern will play an important role in increasing the number of training resources available to IRC staff. Staff development is one of IRC’s overarching strategic goals.

COMMITMENT: 6-12 months

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the administration of virtual learning courses (tracking student progress, writing reports, posting surveys, moderating the technical aspects of webinars), Assist with the cultivation and support needs of IRC’s communities of practice. Assist the Research, Analysis and Learning team to create short animations for use to explain basic M&E concepts, research findings, etc. Support online meetings, webinars, and other virtual engagements through the development of material, interactive enhancements, and evaluation and back end support.

REQUIREMENTS:

•Bachelors required, Masters or coursework in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field preferred

•Two years minimum experience working with the creation of educational materials

•Proven experience with graphic, elearning, and webinar platforms and software (Articulate, Zoom, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere or other video editing software)

•Experience creating animations a plus

•Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programs

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1.The intern will develop skills in creating animations for learning.

2.The intern will enchance training evaluation skills.

3.The intern will strengthen skills on designing and cultivating peer-to-peer and virtual training initiatives.

This position reports to the Director of Training and Instructional Design
