The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia is looking to hire a international consultant to work as Cold Chain and Logistics specialist. How can you make a difference?

The international Cold Chain and Logistics (CCL) consultant will provide remote support to and work closely with UNICEF’s national consultants that are already in place to support Government on supply chain management, and in particular CCL for COVID-19 vaccines. The CCL consultant will provide technical oversight, guidance, quality assurance and support data analysis to identify CCL gaps, priority actions and recommended solutions, in line with global guidelines, reporting requirements and best practices. This includes, supporting MOH in the implementation of relevant CCL priorities in the EVMA improvement plan.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

- An Advanced University Degree in one or more of the following areas; Supply Chain Management, Cold Chain / Logistics or equivalent, Health
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in Immunization logistics and Supply Chain management in a developing country is required.
- Experience working in the UN system agency or organization is an asset. Familiarity with emergency response is an asset
- Fluency in English is required
- Strong communication, written and presentation skills
- Strong data analysis and management skills is an asset
- Ability to work well with others

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual  Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
