GHD's International Development Assistance (IDA) Team delivers project management and technical services for the world's largest development organisations to improve the lives of people in developing countries.

 

About the roles

IDA are currently seeking expressions of interest from consultants that are interested in being part of our team for long and short-term opportunities including:

o    Project Manager

o    Project Director

o    Project Finance Manager

o    Road Engineer Adviser

o    Grants Manager

o    WASH Specialist

o    Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

o    Gender, Disability and Social Inclusion Specialist

 

About you

Ideal candidates will have experience in a development context working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds on DFAT or other donor-funded programs. Eligible candidates should also have the following specific skill requirements:

 

o    Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline eg. Project Management, Accounting / Finance, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Social Sciences, Gender Studies;

o    A minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience within the international development sector;

o    Demonstrated experience in establishing effective and productive relationships with Government, non-Government and donor organisations;

o    Excellent relationship management skills, working and liaising with multiple stakeholders at a strategic level;

o    Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of groups;

  • Experience in developing and or contributing to DFAT tenders and design;

o    Commitment and capacity to undertake activities in a participative, culturally sensitive and consultative manner;

o    Competence with a range of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office and Project management;

o    High standards of integrity, professionalism and accountability and a commitment to uphold the credibility and values of GHD.
