This position reports to the BRM, Partnerships in the Information and Communication Technology Division's (ICTD) Digital HQ in New York Headquarters. The strategic mission of ICTD is to transform and build partnerships with our stakeholders to successfully implement UNICEF programmes globally using innovative, technology-enabled solutions for better outcomes for children.

The Business Relationship Management (BRM) function was introduced in ICTD in 2016 to strengthen management and prioritization of strategic investments and business demand for ICT support and services.  BRMs work with Business Owners to develop strong business cases and take more coordinated approach to management of ICT-enabled business initiatives, ensuring good working relationships and clear accountability for deliverables.  The governance processes put in place through the BRM function have enabled ICTD to better asses, prioritize ICT solutions across business areas and deliver business values.  BRMs have been instrumental in raising awareness on the strategic value of the ICT function in UNICEF and in contributing to the achievements of strong business results.

With the relocation of the Digital Core to Valencia and the creation of the first Digital COE in Nairobi under the ICTD Transformation and Transition Initiative, BRMs will become a centerpiece of the Digital HQ which will remain in New York and plays an important role to ensure that the new ICTD configuration maintains and strengthens the level of engagement and support furnished to Business Owners. With this backdrop, the BRM function will be strengthened and progressed to ‘BRM 2.0' with renewed focuses on:

  • Develop mechanisms to assess effectiveness of ICT services, including customer satisfaction-oriented tools and metric to measure the value add of BRMs.
