POSITION TITLE: Cultural Orientation Intern

Please note this is an unpaid internship.

CONNECTION TO MISSION: New arrivals to the United States receive Cultural Orientation (CO)  to connect them to their new community and teach them skills to thrive and achieve self-sufficiency.

TIME COMMITMENT: 8 – 10 hours per week (3 month minimum, 3+ months preferred)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Help teach Cultural Orientation (CO) to newly arrived refugees

Create new lesson plans and training to incorporate into CO

Help organize CO logistics such as: booking interpreters and ensuring class time does not interfere with other resettlement activities clients may have

Provide follow up for individuals needing more assistance after orientation class

Identify which subjects that clients need more training on and implement training opportunities that will be available for clients
