Child Protection, GBV Internship

Students and graduated candidates with Social Studies, Psychology, International Relations or other related background are eligible to apply. High preferences for candidates with voluntary work experience. To provide joint support to both CP and GBV units based in Amman for tasks related to filtering CP and GBV cases, supporting in coordination meetings, preparation for trainings and meetings, participate in assessments and FGDs and assistance to national and international officers.

¿ Conducting basic research; internet and available documentation
¿ Assist the NOA in preparation of knowledge products and awareness raising material,
¿ Drafting and consolidating various documents (reports, concept notes, Minutes of meeting etc);
¿ Assist in the organization of events, meetings and trainings.
¿ Support the filtering of JORAM and consult with unit focal point for confirmation.
¿ Translation and interpretation during meetings in addition to written documents (between Arabic and English) vice versa note taking during unit and cross unit meetings.
¿ Preparation and maintaining of rotational schedules for hotlines and other tasks,
¿ Participation in FGD for CP and GBV for various exercises.
¿ Support GBV staff in review and fill out of relevant forms and questionaries
¿ Assist the unit staff in setting up and coordination of meetings and trainings as needed.
¿ Assisting in the preparation of briefing notes and presentations when required;
¿ Any other tasks as needed. ¿ Excellent organizational, time management and strong interpersonal skills;
¿ Ability to multi-task, to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines;
¿ Attention to details and proven ability to work independently and effectively with minimum supervision;
¿ Networking skills to engage with key internal and external partners;
¿ Knowledge of UNHCR mandate;
¿ Computer proficiency: MS Office
¿ Eligibility and skills Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic languages
