Security Analyst

Reporting to the Head of Unit and under the supervision of the Head of Security Sector the main duties related to this position are: - Defining a Frontex security risk assessment program and producing and disseminating security reports, travel advice and up-to-date threat assessments; - Monitoring, collecting, storing and analysing information from different sources about the potential risks that could threaten Frontex staff, premises and/or its assets; - Continuously monitoring, updating and enlarging a network of contacts related to security risk assessment and travel advice with relevant partners within the EU agencies / institutions, (inter)national organisations or academia; - Briefing and debriefing travellers to high threat regions; - Assisting with planning and control of deployment of staff to third countries and operational areas and contributing to the pre-deployment training programme; - Taking part in (preliminary-) visits to the operational areas and providing security risk assessments and recommendations for the improvement of the security of Frontex staff, premises and/or assets deployed in these operational areas and actively participating in the relevant working groups; - Assisting with the security organisation of the Agency’s events, trainings; - Performing any other security related task as defined by the Head of Unit or Head of Sector in the area of competence. This position may require frequent business travelling mostly to the areas of Frontex operations.
