To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: Master's degree in an information/knowledge management-related discipline, for example, information science, records and archives management, web designers, and related areas.

Work Experience: A minimum of six [6] years of professional experience in information/knowledge management systems including experience in developing virtual or online platforms. Experience working with the UN System is an asset. Knowledge of the work of UNICEF. 

Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge in French and Portuguese will be an asset. 

Technical skills: 
Experience with knowledge-exchange between actors and information databases
Experience in planning and assembling online platforms
Experience in assembling online platforms in SharePoint will be an asset
Experience with writing guidance

Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
Able to work effectively in a multicultural environment

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
