Overview of position
CTG is looking to contract an experienced Service Support in of Technical Compliance activities professional, the incumbent is to perform the tasks as mentioned below.
Role objectives
The service in support of the technical compliance activities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Deliver services in support of the technical compliance activities in compliance with UN regulatory framework.
  • Provides technical expertise & inputs to the management on the efficient, economical & safe use of the UN air assets by bringing deficiencies to the attention of an Aviation Officer & monitors technical & safety performance of aviation assets assigned to the mission on the continuous basis from the beginning to the end of the contract.
  • Provide planning expertise & assistance in the coordination of air transportation activities / air operations with respect to mission’s / organization’s requirements & in accordance with the DPKO aviation manual, DFS aviation safety program, SOPs, international regulations & local area procedures.
  • Assists with technical expertise in the development & implementation of the mission aviation SOPs in compliance with current DPKO aviation manual, host nations Aeronautical Information Publications (AIPs), annex 6 to the Chicago convention & the CAA regulations of the country of registry of air carrier by making recommendations to an Officer.
  • Provide technical expertise, assistance during aircraft & aircrews inspections to ensure compliance with the provisions of aviation contracts for operational & administrative acceptance in accordance with the long term aircraft charter agreements or Letters of Assists (LOAs) randomly upon operational demands & requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise & assistance in the monitoring of aircraft worthiness & certification compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise in the processing, verification & submission of invoices, After Mission Reports (AMR) & other related documentation (AURs) on weekly basis.
  • Technical processing of AUR data (the hours flown, fuel taken, cargo, passengers, NMR & NA days) & ensuring that it is corrected on daily basis.
  • Provide technical expertise & assistance in monitoring of reports related to air carriers’ performance evaluation for aircraft under long term charter agreement on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide technical expertise & assistance in monitoring of reports related to air carriers’ performance evaluation for aircraft under Letter of Assist (LOA) on semi annual basis.
  • Assists in monitoring of monthly submission of crew attendance, aircraft maintenance plan & crew rotation documentation on monthly basis.
  • Compiles crew & aircraft flying hour’s records & updating the related databases in shared drive on daily basis.
  • Provide any other required expertise & services upon demand on the area of assignment, technical compliance.
Project reporting
This role reports to the Project Manager.
Key competencies - College diploma is required, specialized technical training / qualification in Air Transportation, Aeronautical Engineering, Air Traffic Control, Air Transport Management, flight safety or business administration, or graduation from the equivalent military training organization is required.
- Advanced university degree or master’s degree is an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in aviation industry including at least three (3) years in an occupation directly related to the air transport business administration & standards (contract management & administration or engineering or flight operations standards or commercial & financing).
Team management
This role has no team management responsibility.
