The Site Manager oversees the operations of the IRC in Tallahassee including staff supervision; the delivery of high-quality services to refugees and other immigrants in program areas such as case management, employment, youth mentorship, and community integration; grants management and compliance; and community outreach and program development.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Establish and provide effective management and oversight of all services and activities for the office.

•Ensure clients receive timely and quality services and are treated with dignity and respect.Provide supervision to staff regarding problem solving and, on occasion, meet with clients to hear concerns and determine appropriate resolution.

•Coordinate with the Deputy Director on the direction and management of the office, including new program development, grant-writing activities, and donor development and support.

•Support the development and oversee implementation of the office’s Strategic Action Plan.

•Represent IRC in public forums, meetings, and the community and act as point of contact for strategic partners, community stakeholders and donors.

•Recruit and hire staff as needed.Meet IRC’s People Manager Standards in the engagement and communication with and development of staff.Maintain effective office management structure including holding regular staff meetings and trainings.

•Provide oversight of implementation of office budget; ensure required financial procedures are followed by all staff.

•Ensure compliance with funder requirements, whether federal, state, local or private; review case files regularly to confirm they are maintained and conform to all contract requirements and reflect contact with clients and program activity in a timely manner.

•Complete required reports in a timely manner.

•Monitor program outcomes as defined by IRC and/or funder goals and objectives.Work with staff to achieve these outcomes.

•Other responsibilities as required.

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to:Deputy Director

Position directly supervises:Caseworkers, Employment Specialist, Housing Specialist, AmeriCorps members

Indirect Reporting: Other Tallahassee staff members, interns, interpreters

Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal: Finance Manager, Finance Assistant; Atlantic/Central Regional Director

External: Community partners including colleagues at other refugee-serving agencies; local and state advocacy contacts; donors

Job Requirements:

•College degree required. Graduate degree in management, policy, international relations or social work preferred.

•At least three years of progressively responsible program management experience in domestic refugee resettlement or social services programs including supervisory and financial/budgetary experience.Previous employment services or case management experience strongly preferred.

•Ability to represent the IRC in public forums, meetings and in the community.

•Must have excellent communication skills both spoken and written.

•Ability to think and work independently as well as in a team setting.Must be flexible, capable of working under pressure with deadlines and managing multiple priorities.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and serving as a strong advocate for refugees

•Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with current insurance.Ability to travel throughout the service delivery area with occasional travel to other areas of Florida.

•Fluency in English, spoken and written

Working Environment:

•Combination of working in a standard office environment and outreach work in the community including meetings with community partners and donors.

•May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
