Help shape the 2021 ALNAP Meeting on learning from disruption

Home Based - May require travel

  • Organization: ALNAP
  • Location: Home Based - May require travel
  • Grade: Volunteer - Volunteer
  • Occupational Groups:
    • Humanitarian Aid and Coordination
  • Closing Date: Closed

Over the past 17 months the humanitarian system has been affected by external forces which have brought about unplanned and unanticipated disruptions to humanitarian action.

Do you have any stories about these disruptions? Perhaps you have an idea for an interesting workshop on a specific aspect of this topic, or an insightful angle for a discussion?

We want you to help shape the discussions at this meeting through our open call for sessions.

You have a whole month to think big and pitch your suggestions, as the platform hosting our virtual meeting allows for lots of options for interaction.

We seek proposals for full sessions that fit within any of these four formats: broadcast sessions, workshops, breakout-based sessions and stories (e.g. our past 'Stories in 5'). We will accept submissions in any language and can arrange for simultaneous translation as required.

A panel of ALNAP members, secretariat staff and external reviewers will assess the proposals. If your session is chosen, we will work with you to optimise your ideas for the virtual format of the meeting.

Watch out for registration opening and early bird tickets

Our 2021 ALNAP Meeting will be held online and will be open to all humanitarians interested in the theme of the meeting. Sessions will span different time zones, so that you can take part from wherever you are.

Registration for the meeting will open in late July. Early-bird rates are available for tickets purchased before September 2021.
