Job Overview: The Reception and Placement Program (R&P) Supervisor is responsible for supervising day to day activities of core service delivery in the Resettlement Department. The R&P Supervisor is responsible for ensuring services are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with contract requirements.  They manage staff providing direct client services.  This position reports to the Casework Program Manager.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Core Service Delivery:

·Oversee daily operations of resettlement services, providing guidance, leadership and direct support in all aspects of service provision.

·Monitor the delivery of core resettlement services to ensure compliance with all program standards and grant requirements in accordance with the Reception & Placement Program requirements.

·Coordinate pre-arrival case processing, including case assurance, communication with US Ties, and liaising with IRC’s Processing Department at Headquarters.

·Assign cases to caseworkers and ensure timely provision of core services including airport pickups, interpretation, home visits, school enrollment, domestic health assessments, and access to public benefits.

·Collaborate with other departments to encourage timely internal and external referrals.

Partnership Building:

·In coordination with colleagues, maintain relationships with property owners and managers to expand access to resources to affordable housing.

·Identify and maintain relationships with local government and community-based organizations with the goal of connecting clients with necessary benefits and services.

·Develop and maintain vendor relationships that create budgetary savings and improve efficiency.

Compliance Documentation:

·Ensure that all electronic and hard case files and databases are maintained with contract requirements and all records required by IRC are submitted on time and in accordance with program guidelines.

·Guide the timely implementation of program updates as needed.

·Review R&P period reports and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner.

·Provide direct oversight and case supervision of all special minor cases and ensure special reporting requirements are met.

·Lead preparation for all monitoring visits including IRC, state and federal agencies.

·Monitor program execution to ensure compliance with all funding requirements, communicate program needs to management team.

·Oversee budget and approve expenses on Reception & Placement related funds, ensuring costs are maintained within allocated budget.

Staff Supervision and Other Responsibilities:

·Cultivate a respectful, supportive and inclusive environment for team members and clients.

·Oversee the recruitment, hiring and training of resettlement services team members and ensure they are managed in accordance with IRC’s People Manager Standards.

·Provide daily oversight of active caseload, maintaining close communication with resettlement staff regarding challenging cases.

·Represent IRC in public, professional and governmental forums as needed.

·Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

·University degree (B.A.) required, preferably in social work or related field

·Minimum three years of experience implementing domestic refugee resettlement or related program

·Experience in program management and responsibility for budget management preferred

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

·Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

·Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment

·Excellent written and oral communications skills in English; proficiency  in a language spoken by client populations a plus

·Valid driver’s license, reliable access to vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area

Working Environment:

·A combination of standard office environment and ‘field’ time in and around the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.

·May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
